The Uniform
Pack 353 maintains a fairly relaxed standard for its uniform policy. There are two classes of uniforms to be worn by Cub Scouts in Pack 353 - Class A and Class B.
Class A uniforms consist of the following:
- official Cub Scout shirt, with awards and insignias properly applied neckerchief
- hat (optional)
- official uniform pants OR clean blue jeans, in good condition
It may be a little intimidating to figure out where the patches go, so the following charts may be helpful to you (Note: Webelos uniforms have different requirements). For Tigers, Wolves, and Bears, the following Inspection Sheet describes exactly where the patches should go: Cub Scout Inspection Sheet. For Webelos Scouts, use this: Webelos Inspection Sheet.
If you're new to the pack, don't worry, we provide all of your patches. The only things that you need to purchase is the shirt and a belt (for all those belt-loop awards). Other items such as the hat, socks, shorts, and pants are optional and completely up to you.

The Class B uniform consists of the following
- official Pack 353 T-shirt
- official uniform pants OR clean blue jeans, in good condition
The following are NOT acceptable as part of the uniform:
- any pants that are not Navy blue or BLUE jeans
- faded or tie-dyed jeans
- "parachute" pants
- soccer or gym shorts
Most Pack and District functions require Class A uniforms. In the hotter weather, or at functions with a lot of activity, such as Field Day, the Class B uniform is acceptable and, in fact, preferred.
