Cub Scout Pack 353

On March 28, the Den 10 Tigers enjoyed a beautiful Sunday afternoon hiking in George Bush Park.  They earned their Hiking belt loop by reviewing hiking safety rules, discussing hiking gear, and then going on a three mile round-trip hike (which is a far distance for Scouts with short legs!).  Now we are ready to hike Brazos Bend.

WOW,what a great bunch of Webelos! Who else can turn a cloudy, gloomy day, make it fun and productive!

 Sunday we finished up our citizen activity pin and started our fitness requirements. As you can see we also had a very productive food drive for KCM.

Thanks to our den chiefs, Kevin and Hobie for working with the scouts and teaching them a fun scout song," Wisconsin Milk!" The photos you see will let you know how much fun scouting is for our boys!

Webelos I are off and running or should I say swimming! The first activity completed as a den was Aquanautic. The scouts had to swim 100 feet, of which 50 feet had to be some type of backstroke. They also had to demonstrate some simple rescue methods and learned how to properly use a PFD. Coming up next will be the Pack Picnic where they will be participating in the Raingutter Regatta races. Later this month the boys will be working on the following activities; Citizen-Fitness- and prepare for the Pack campout at Bastrop State Park.

Next scheduled meeting is September 20th, 2:30-3:30ish at Nottingham Park on Rennie Rd.
